Augmented Reality

Augmented reality (AR) is a live direct or indirect view of a physical, real-world environment whose elements are augmented (or supplemented) by computer-generated sensory input such as sound, video, graphics or GPS data. It is related to a more general concept called mediated reality, in which a view of reality is modified (possibly even diminished rather than augmented), by a computer. As a result, the technology functions by enhancing one’s current perception of reality. By contrast, virtual reality replaces the real world with a simulated one.

Challenge:

Let it be a school or a college, marketing is needed nowadays to get admissions. This happened mainly because of the increase of schools and colleges. In this competitive world, how to make our client Rathinam College stand out?

The Solution:

Since we are the direct brand consultant for Rathinam, we activated many campaigns for them. One such campaign is this Augmented Reality!

The main purpose of this campaign is to boost up the admissions for the academic year 2014-15. We highlighted the B.Sc., Visual Communication program with the help of this technology. We implemented the famous 3D models of superheroes such as Ironman, Superman and Batman and gave them life virtually. The jaw dropping class of this innovative technology urged us to implement it in marketing. In order to create awareness about this, several campaigns are conducted and the step by step process is neatly explained.

Result:

Needless to say it grabbed more eye balls of the target audience. From this campaign, we had understood that people are always open to adopt new and groundbreaking initiatives. The only necessity needed is, it should surprise
